Playwright/Historian

Carole Levin is Willa Cather Professor of History Emerita at the University of Nebraska, where she taught from 1998-2022. She was also the Director of the Medieval and Renaissance Studies Program for a decade. She specializes in early modern English cultural, political, and women’s history. She is the author or editor of twenty books, including The Heart and Stomach of a King: Elizabeth I and the Politics of Sex and Power and Dreaming the English Renaissance. She has held fellowships at the Folger Shakespeare Library, the Newberry Library, and the Institute for Advanced Study at the University of Warwick. She was a Fulbright Scholar at the University of York.  More recently she has been a visiting Professor at the University of Catania and at the Catholic University of Milan. She co-edits the series, Queenship and Power, for Palgrave and the New Interdisciplinary Approaches to Early Modern Culture for Routledge. In August 2024 her play, Elizabeth I: In Her Own Words was performed at the Edinburgh Fringe.​​​​​

Director​

Sabin Epstein began his professional career as an actor and director at New York’s famed off-Off-Broadway theater, Café La MaMa. He’s worked as a Resident Director in regional theaters in Los Angeles, San Francisco and Atlanta as well as serving as a Guest Director at Shakespeare Festivals in Oregon, Utah, Atlanta, Santa Fe and Mesa, Arizona.  He has taught acting in elite training programs in San Francisco, Los Angeles and Denver, and is the co-author of Acting with Style and the author of the recently published Action: A Guide for Actors. ​​​​​

Associate Director/Voice Coach

Lynn Nichols, worked for more than 30 years with the Colorado Shakespeare Festival in Boulder, Colorado in the role as Managing Director, Directing several productions, and traveling across the country to conduct company auditions.  He taught at the University of Colorado Boulder, in the Department of Theatre & Dance, as part of the faculty leading the BFA in Acting program.  His area of specialty is Shakespeare performance as well as speech and text work.  He was part of the formational team that originally conceived this play, along with Tamara Meneghini and Carole Levin.  He has a renowned rose garden that he spends most of his time cultivating to welcome visitors each summer in Longmont, Colorado.​​​​​

Music

Rick Pruitt is originally from Albuquerque, New Mexico. Rick has taught all types of guitar for over 30 years and excels in meeting the needs of each individual student. For teaching very young children, Rick uses the Suzuki method and the Mother Tongue Approach. Rick plays classical and Flamenco guitar as well as electric. Rick has a Bachelor of Music in classical guitar performance from the University of Miami. He currently performs as a soloist and in the trio The Gatos in the Boulder/ Denver area.​​​​​

Costume

Markas Henry is an Associate Professor of Costume Design at the University of Colorado, Boulder where he teaches Costume Design, Makeup Design, Watercolor Illustration & Rendering and Fashion History.

Selected credits include: Broadway (Thoroughly Modern Millie, Beauty and the Beast), Off-Broadway (The Great American Trailer Park Musical, Pentecost), Film (Elf, Leading Ladies) and two Britney Spears US/ World tours. Regionally, Markas‘ designs have been seen on the stages of Curious Theatre (Artistic Co. Member), BETC, local theatre co., Opera Colorado, Theatre Aspen and the Colorado Shakespeare Festival.​​​​​

Wig Designer

Recent work includes wigs for: “Midsummer Nights Dream“, “The Taming“ at DU Theater. “Truth Be Told“ at Curious Theater. “The Royale“ at BETC . “MammaMia“ , "Diary of Anne Frank“ , “ Plaza Suite“ at Arvada Center. Richard teaches Hairstyling at Boulder TEC and is a national industry educator. His work has appeared in Beauty Span, Modern Salon. He has designed for DCPA, Colorado Shakespeare Fest, Galleria Theatre, D.U. Theatre, C.U. Theatre, Curious Theatre, Banff Center, Colorado Ballet. Richard is a member of the United States Institute for Theatre Technology.
